Help Us Build a Brighter Future: The Silje Lang Foundation School Project
Project Summary
The Silje Lang Foundation School is a community driven initiative to build a free pre-primary and primary school in Kashaki Village, Rubanda District, Uganda. It targets disadvantaged children especially girls, orphans, and the disabled who are denied education due to poverty and gender inequality.
Named after Silje Lang, a Norwegian humanitarian, the school will offer a holistic education including academics, digital literacy, sports, and survival skills like swimming, with a vision to transform lives and uplift the entire community.
The school will be built in phases over two years, with dormitories, staff quarters, a sports arena, and a computer lab. The total estimated cost is $100,000, and the project is raising funds through individual and corporate donors.
